For the first time, Opera Lafayette brings its original perspective to a repertoire favorite of Handel, a drama about the taming of a powerful and ambitious king. Opera Lafayette performs the work in its first version, complete with dances at the end of the acts and with members of the Seán Curran dance company integrated as actors into the complete production.
A pre-performance discussion with Artistic Director Ryan Brown and director Seán Curran will take place an hour before the performance.
